Students who have obtained a Learner's Permit through either a 6-hour Adult Permit Class or by taking the Permit Test at DPS (Age 18 & up)
Eligibility and Document Requirements:
A valid Learner License (Learner’s Permit) is mandatory.
Completion of the Impact Texas Young Driver Program (ITYD) http://impacttexasdrivers.dps.texas.gov/is required, which can be completed online. A printed completion certificate must be presented on the day of the Road Test.
The cost of the Driving Test is $70.00, which includes one attempt. A second attempt on the same day will cost $40, while any other day will incur a fee of $30. Click Here
If you choose to rent a Driving School vehicle for the road test, there is an additional charge of $25.00.
